Kothe Operador Logístico Ltda., with headquarters in Jundiaí, São Paulo, and administrative headquarters in Araguaína (in the state of Tocantins), acquired 60 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2548 6×2 extra-heavy trucks. The vehicles were purchased for fleet renewal, in a sale carried out by the dealership Savana de Xanxerê (in the state of Santa Catarina), with financing from Banco Mercedes-Benz.

Adilson Kothe, co-owner of Kothe, informed that the company has more than 660 Mercedes-Benz trucks in its fleet of around 1,500 vehicles, which means more than 40% of the total. “To serve around 1,500 cities and move an average of 2 million tons of products annually, with 80 million kilometers traveled and 70 thousand trips. “For full service, we have 1,500 vehicles in our fleet, with a varied line of vehicles for the most diverse customer operations. The new Actros 2548 road cars were acquired to reinforce the company’s market differential”, he highlighted.

Kothe operates in several transportation and logistics segments, serving customers in sectors such as meat, vegetables, agro, dairy, e-commerce, paper, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, industrialized products, chocolates, electronics, beverages and chemicals. Its operations cover the entire national territory and also some Mercosur countries.

With more than 50 years of national operation, Kothe has become a reference in logistics and transport, and is now one of the largest in the sector. The group also operates with dry and air-conditioned storage, treatment of industrial soybean, corn and cotton seeds and the seed processing industry. It has 16 warehouses and 30 branches in all regions of the country.

The choice of Mercedes-Benz trucks, according to Adilson Kothe’s assessment, is due to the benefits between transportation and operating costs. The co-owner highlights Kothe’s great environmental value linked to its fleet and ESG principles. More than 280 of the company’s trucks use solar panels, as do some operational units.

The solution adopted reduces, on average, the emission of 1.8 tons of CO2 per truck in one year, contributing to environmental protection. In addition, it brings advantages such as increasing the useful life of the vehicle’s batteries by up to 40% and reducing idling by up to 50%, reducing fuel consumption. It also improves the comfort of the driver, who can use their electronic accessories with peace of mind.
